Earlier today I received an email from an anonymous source with scandalous photos of 19-year-old actress, Scout Taylor-Compton taken with her cell phone... You may remember her from such movies as April Fool's Day, Halloween, and Sleepover...

QUEETASTROPHE!! [Jan. 7th, 2008|10:33 pm]

So, apparently there's an auction going on, although I checked eBay and didn't find anything, but it's to help St. Jude's Pediatric Research Hospital, so I don't mind doing some repost work to help out. The article is under the cut. They're auctioning off a glow in the dark Qee Bunny, signed by various Warped tour fellas, and a glow in the dark Qee bear which is signed by various horror artists (which we all know is more badass). So keep an eye on this eBay link, and maybe when the word spreads a little they'll finally put them up for auction.

Info under the cutCollapse )

Either check it out, spread the word, or both.

So, after the boring-ness that was last weekend - honestly we had a few hundred people come through the house each night, and many times it was some of the same people using their wrist band to its full advantage. I was about to start hating the job - I couldnt get the vibe, and felt like I was a wallflower, but I knew I needed to stick with it and soon things would pick up. So, Friday the weather took a random turn and instead of raining in the morning and clearing up for the afternoon/evening - it POURED!! We all showed up and clocked in, and one hour later we were scrambling back to the ESO to clockout and go home. BOO!! But, its alright, Saturday rolled around and boy - WE FREAKIN ROCKED!!!. Seriously, its days like Saturday that make me smile and say to myself, 'this is what you work your butt off for'. For those who have never worked in a haunted house or something similar there is absolutley NO words to describe that feeling of excitment and pure awesomeness that runs through your veins when you scare a guest - especially when you scare a guest, OUT OF THE HOUSE SCREAMING AND TRIPPING. I changed my spot - from a "Murdered Camper", to a "Blackout", Blackouts (aside from a Zombie in Zombie Zones) are the BEST positions to have in a Haunted House. You have free range throughout the entire house, you're in an all black "grim-reaper-esque" pullover (you guys know what im talking about right? - what the scream dude wears - minus the mask), and I was also lucky enough, because I have my contact lenses, to not have to wear a black-ed out face mask. And, I also got the luxury of being the very last room in one of the haunted houses - which means, Im the last thing people see, and my tactics - I've perfected them by now - is that I stand around the blind corner where guests cant see any inch of me - and of course - slide/jump/skip/*insert some other random movement here*, and shake and bang my handy-dandy shaker can (its basically a "can" shape of welded metal, with BB's and bolts and nails inside it and it makes an irritating loud noise when you bang or shake it - its really effective), so anyhow, we have about 11,000 guests in our park Sat night - and about 80% of them came through our house, we had people fall over eachother, step on eachother, scream and run, bolt through the entire house, etc... it rocked!! It was a much-needed boost for all of us.

Today - the reason I titled this entry what I did - was the start of "Cheer Fest" *GAGS*, I dont mind cheerleaders, but a couple thousand of them - umnothanks!. But, they are amazing to scare - very easy, and awesome. Next Sat and Sunday is the last part of Cheer Fest, so that will be 100 times better.

I ♥ My makeup tonight - I love it every night, but I really loved it tonight. So, heres a few pics that a friend of mine shot with her camera - and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!

ENJOY!!!Collapse )

Attention Eli Roth Fans!! [Oct. 9th, 2007|12:12 pm]

On October 23rd, Hostel (The Directors Cut) and Hostel II will be released. This information was found at Eli Roths personal MySpace page. Click the link for the information about the DVD releases, and then add him to your MySpace friends list if you have one to stay in the know about his work-in-progress. Give America's greatest new horror director your support!!

Just beware, if you end up adding a major horror director/fan based profile to your friends list, you're putting yourself in the line of fire for other horror based friend adds, many of which are uninformed, biased self-proclaimed horror 'fans' who can't even sit down and watch a horror movie that was made before 1997 because it's "too old". Get a life! No one thinks that Jennifer Love Hewitt spinning around in circles screaming at the clouds makes for a good horror movie!

Hey everyone!!! Not much long to Halloween - woot woot!

So, Friday was my first day at Six Flags' Fright Fest - I took 2 years off, and came back this year (I worked when I was 16 & 17 - in 03 and 04) and then 2005/2006 I was down in so-cal, but this year I came back - no longer a minor *dances*, so, yay! Friday was pretty quiet - suprisingly for a holiday weekend - Im well aware its not a NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED HOLIDAY - but still, some people had no school or anything today, anyway, Saturday I took a trip to so-cal for Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights - which, if you're a die-hard Halloween fan, love to get scared - or just love to have a look at all the amazing sets, mazes, make-up, costumes, prosthetics - seriously I have a field day every time i go - I think the words, "holy hell - that rocks!" must have come out of my mouth at least 300 times in the 7hour period they were open. The park was based on Jack the Clown and his Carnival of Carnage, and his 'sidekicks' were Michael Myers, Leatherface and Freddy. We stopped in each of the scare zones and watched the ever amazing SLIDERS (zombies who have metal plates on their shins/knees/shoes and arms and they run and slide on the pavement - it creates sparks and also scares the crap out of people).

We hopped on, The Terror Tram, which is the normal tram during the day at Universal that takes you on a tour of the backlots and in movie sets, they transform it obviously during the night and as you're driving in the tram there is a, "technical problem" that causes you to have to get off the tram and walk through a few of the sets - including the actual plane crash set with a Bowing 737 (i believe thats the plane), that they used in War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise - and its all Zombie-fied... :) Jack the Clown and his 'sidekicks' also make several appearances throughout the walk along the backlot.

We hit all 4 haunted houses, The Texas Chainsaw Masarce - back in business - was good, this one actually caused me to cower AWAY from someone - I screamed once - it actually takes a lot to really scare me and even more to make me move out of the way of something - my defense mechanism when someone scares me is to flip my hand in the air toward the object that scared me - luckily, no one I've come in contact with has gotten a black eye as a result of my spazoid - ness. Anyway, the house was amazing - their attention to detail is AMAZING! And the one and only thing that bothers me (and made me scream and jet away from that area of the house - only to have the guy follow me outside), is when one of the scareactors came up behind me and did this sort of snort kinda thing, its like when you snore only they expand the sound - it sounds like they're snarling almost, and he came right next to my ear and did that for the last few rooms of the maze. They also had it rigged to whenever they, "sawed" into someone with a chainsaw, water would spray out on you like it was blood from the body - its amazing how effective that was on people.

Out of all the houses Texas Chainsaw Masacre was my fav, the detail was great, and the fact that it scared me a bit - was really what sold me on it. We hit the other three houses after that, A Nightmare on Elm St.: Freddys Nightmare this one was rigged up as an Insane Asylum, Universal House of Horrors (this one was great because before you went in the actual maze, the Que Line, weaved through the building and they had famous movie set pieces from all kinds of horror movies - Jaws, Chucky, the dolls from 'Dead Silence', this house is actually open Year Round at Universal and I've been in it before - its super cool), and lastly, Friday the 13th: Camp Blood, which was fun, again, detail is amazing - all the houses' details rocked.

We caught Chuckys Insult Emporium, Kevin James' Dark Magic and Dirty Tricks, and Slaughterworld (which is the halloween version of their normal daily 'Waterworld' based on the movie.)

All in all it was good. Come Sunday morning though I was totally dead, I'd been up since 6am Sat morning, we were at Universal from 6pm-2:30am Sunday morning, and then I had to leave LA at 6am to make it home by noon so I could be at work from 2-9pm. It was fun, but very very tiring - my next step is to go work at Universal Next year for Horror Nights - and I totally plan on it... :)

So - sorry to have made that so long, for anyone interested in checking out more about Halloween Horror Nights at Hollywood and Orlando, you can check it out at: www.halloweenhorrornights.com.

x-posted all over the place... :)

And.... onto some PICTURES!!!!!!Collapse )

Name: Nicole (20 yrs old, from NJ)

A little horror history: I love horror, any and all horror, always have, although I hate most recent remakes and the pg 13-superfluous use of CGI-hardly creepy shit that the middle schoolers rave about. I've always been big on gore, and anything graphic and up close. Slashers really are the best, but there's nothing like a good old Black and White. The twenties into he thirties and the seventies into the eighties really were the best years horror has ever seen. I recently discovered silent horror, and now I can't get enough. It's just so hard to find. Some of my favorite horror directors are Eli Roth, Takashi Miike (Asian extreme cinema really is some good stuff), George Romero, David Lynch (well, sortof), Peter Jackson, and Lucio Fulci. If you want some good zombies, Fulci's films really are the ones to go for. His zombies are the best: rotting flesh, covered with maggots, and the gore effects are old, but phenomenal. I can go on. Admittedly, there is a lot I haven't seen, and I'm working on that.

FUCLI LIVES!!

Favorite Scary Movies: Not in any particular order:
SILENTS: Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde (amazing!!), Metropolis, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (amazing as well!!), Phantom of the Opera, Un Chien Andalou.
B&W (30's-/60's):FREAKS, The Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy (<---I have the Legacy collection to all of these), The Bride of Frankenstein, White Zombie, The Raven, Night of the Living Dead, Psycho, House on Haunted Hill, The Bat, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, The Mystery of the Wax Museum, House of Wax, King Kong, Horror Hotel.
SPLATTER (and anything else that can be considered so):Halloween (the first only), Friday the 13th (1 & 2), April Fools Day, Mothers Day, Death Proof, CREEPSHOW, Graveyard Shift, Tales from the Darkside, Color Me Blood Read, Bad Taste, Blood Feast, I Spit on your Grave (aka Day of the Woman-several rape scenes and lotsa blood!), Eraserhead (I love David Lynch!), American Werewolf in London, 28 Days Later, SAW I-III, Evil Dead 1 & 2, Army of Darkness, Carrie, The Exorcist, Jeepers Creepers (although the director's a kiddy toucher), Misery, Motel Hell (so bad but so good!), Hellraiser, the Hitcher (1986), Prom Night, Seven, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, TCM: The Beginning, They Live, the Thing, When a Stranger Calls (1979), Cabin Fever, Hostel 1 & 2.
ASIAN:Audition, Ichi the Killer, Versus, Evil Dead Trap, Oldboy, Imprint.

Favorite Scary Story/Novels: Struwwelpeter is the best book in the world, and I loooove Grimms Fairy Tales. They're so violent, and useful.

Phobias (what makes me scream): I never really scream, I just say "Wow!" really loud. Anything involving Leeches makes me shudder, and I literally can't look at them, on screen or whathaveyou. I can't handle them, and my friends think it's funny, so they taunt me with pictures of them on MySpace. Maybe that's why I can't watch Puppet Master.

Something scary: I'm scary. Below is a picture of me, and in the cut is what I do as a hobby. Maybe I'll make money off of them someday, or maybe I'll graduate onto to bigger and better things (and no, I don't mean murder).

Cuts for lengthCollapse )
